Hello from me

Hi everyone and thankyou for welcoming me to the Novel Racers. Very exciting. I am actually now taking my writing seriously and not just 'fannying' around with it. The Miss Write competition was the main trigger for me and even though I have not won it I am going to persevere with it. I am at work at moment so will do a proper intorduction tomorrow when I am at home. Not sure why I came to work today as I was in a car accident yesterday and now have whiplash. At least a day off will give me a chance to so writing without my 2 children running around the place asking me what I am doing every 2 minutes. Thanks again for the welcome and I have enjoyed having a look round everyones blogs to see what they are up to and it is good to know there are different stages of writer amongst us too. Fills me with hope and inspiration which I need a lot of.

Actually it's possible to secure a little alone time for writing by simply faking an injury. Do it all the time. Faking not only obviates the need for actual damage to the fragile flesh, it removes the temptation of all those pain medications. (Believe me, I've tried. They only make you feel like you're being creative; you're not likely to produce anything anyone other than a mental health professional would want to read.)

Welcome aboard.

Oh dear. I need a rest. Read 'persevere' as 'perverse' and then my eye caught 'whiplash'...

Welcome. And hope the whiplash eases soon.
