Bonjour from Un Peu Loufoque

Courtesy of the kind indulgence of Liz and ChrisH , and after my writing a pathetic begging letter asking to be allowed to play Novel racers, I have been invited to “Wenn Sie einen Beitrag zu diesem Blog leisten chten, rufen Sie folgende”, which hopefully means to join the group not bugger off and never bother anyone again, although reading the German above it may well be the latter as the admonition to”rufen Sie Folgende” really sounds threatening!

I am in the throws of trying to persuade someone somewhere to throw caution to the wind and embrace my novel “The Adventures of Un Peu Loufoque”, (see my blogger profile for more info http://www2.blogger.com/profile/09387826515638192265 ) pronounce it as the newest must have in the literary world and shower me with praise and substantial amounts of gold coins. Meanwhile I continue to write, couldn't’t stop if I wanted to as I cannot get the mad woman and her bizarre French household who populate my novel out off my head . Un Peu Loufoque means roughly a little crazy which about says it all I think.

I am not sure what the protocol is for making my first posting whether I should have waited shyly to be introduced by Liz or whether you will forgive me for barging in here, hand outstretched like some mad woman with a booming voice and a bracing handshake at a WI coffee morning.

So here I am anyway, hello everyone ( she says scuffing her toes and looking down at her feet) nice to meet you all. (was that OK?)

Welcome to the Novel Racers - looks like it might be by the skin of your teeth! Very nice to see you here. I will check out your blog as soon as I've commented below. But welcome anyway, and I promise not to speak any more Thai

See you soon

Welcome aboard, UPL.

(And I'm worse, LDU. I was bottom of my class for three years of American high-school French thirty-five years ago. I don't dare open my mouth.)

Ok. I have just read your blog.

I quote: "he were a creepy bloke and a bit of a groper". Sounds like my kinda guy :)

Well, that's another method of procrastination to add to the list. Excellent stuff. Your novel sounds fab - I'd read it!

Oh not you again! Do you have to follow me everywhere?! Gawd, better change my tune before everyone thinks I mean it - welcome Un Peu, a seriously funny and talented writer (she says, through gritted teeth).

Hi and welcome to Novel Racers. I am a newbie too. They are a lovely bunch of writers and have loads of ideas, support, determination and humour! Fabulous!

Bonne journee, mon petit sapin! My French teacher in grade one used to say that when one of us entered the class. It wasn't until years later that I figured out she was saying Good day, my little evergreen tree. The French can make anything sound tres charmant, n'est-ce pas? Bienvenue.
By the way, I haven't been here long either but I'm reasonably certain that barging in is allowed, if not encouraged!
