Eeek! I'm not ready either. Tomorrow will mostly be spent nursing a hangover (not the most productive of states!) so my race will have to start on 2nd January! But good luck everyone. Without the novel racers support and encouragement I'd hever have finished novel #1 and I look forward to 'racing' you all again as I start novel #2.
I'm all prepared and I'm ready to get going! I'm so glad to be starting the race with everyone else instead of joining later like I did last year (or this year... you know what I mean!)
No fair, you guys get a 5-hour head start! (Some of you get 12 hours.) Well, I don't drink, so I'll be starting without a hangover. I guess the advantages even out....
As I'm leaving my manuscript alone for a month before editing, I thought I might plot out second book. Jan mentioned that the army bit of my novel was interesting so I though I might do a sort of military hen lit - having been there, done that for so long.
Any other ideas much appreciated:-)
Happy New Year and I wish everyone the best of luck in 2008- you've been fab company
Oo-er... am working on a major plot analysis exercise (of other people's novels, not my own) so will probably fall behind - but I'm learning a lot, so I think it'll be worth it. Fiona, I think military hen lit sounds like a good plan. Best of luck, everyone - remember, the race is not always to the swift, it's the taking part that counts, etc etc etc!
