Life After Rejection

A week or so ago, the Independent newspaper published a very cheering article about authors whose books were rejected by agents and/or publishers and who then went on to receive huge advances, write bestsellers, win prizes etc. For those who haven't seen it, it's here.

Almost makes you wonder if the industry even knows what it's doing.

As an outside observer (so far, will probably attempt to get published one day) the results seem far too random and non-deterministic to me.

Thanks Zinnia - I hadn't seen this! Cheers me up on a grey morning. It is all so subjective - which is encouraging and scary.

Hello

Some of you may be interested in my 'Book on a Blog'.

It is an illustrated adventure story for children that I posted in the summer (a chapter a day).

It is still there for people to read and, hopefully, enjoy.

It is called THE BRICKS IN THE CAVE and can be found at

Hope you like it!
