Novel Racers Meet Again

Well, I hope it's not a too premature... but like all good sequels it's got an original name! There's been some talk about the next novel racers meet.

It was so lovely to meet people last month that I'd love to be present at the second one as I'm only too aware that I probably won't be around for any after that unless it coincides with another trip back.

Both Liz and I are in the UK during July and a couple of dates have been mentioned as not being possible for a couple of individuals so that's why there are only two dates available for choosing.
We're sticking to Saturdays because the trains are better and we promised a London meet this time.

For anyone nervous I'm sure we can arrange a pick up from a station or landmark of your choosing.

So I've put the voting poll up again (top left - in the sidebar) with two dates available - please tell me which dates you can make. If you can make both, you can register both.

Now, get voting.

Hurrah, I can do both too - I'm keeping them free in my diary until we've got a definite date. Thanks again, JJ, for setting this up.

Are waiting list people allowed to come to the meet? I would love to, but I understand if you want to keep it to just novel racers to keep it a little more manageable.

I can do either as long as there's plenty warning!

I for one am nervous about this meet. London terrifies me. I was there last year so it probably won't be as bad as I think. I might try to stay in the same place I did then (that way I know where it is and won't get lost!)

Unfortunately I'm not free on either day... Hope you have a good time though!

I can make both at the moment :o)

I can do either too. (Unless I manage to book a summer holiday but that is looking highly unlikely!)
Northampton is an easy train journey to London and trains are frequent. A cheap day return is reasonable too. I would not have to disappear as quickly as I did in Manchester either!

Rachel and I can only do the 12th - I'm on a 10 day retreat for the other date!

Already pencilled it in the diary in the hopes.

Um... where's the poll? Can we have a link to it? I can't remember where it was last time!

Aha, found it. It's up there on the top left of this blog. Might be worth stating that in the post in case other people are blinkered like me and don't think to read the comments...

I can't come though, I shouldn't think, as my baby is due 7th July!

As far as I'm concerned, people on the waiting list would be welcome.

I won't be able to come, unfortunately but am sure you'll all have a great time. (Jealous, who me?)

I'd love to meet you all so much but I'm in the US - I am having a trip home to the UK but it's in June, unfortunately! Someday it'll happen...hope you all have fun!

Yay to letting waiting list people come! I think I should be able to do either date. Technically can't afford it so will have to start saving my pennies.... :)

Thanks Liz and Zinnia!

Not sure I can make either at the moment (I have no job so money is a bit tight) but will let you know if things change. :)

Unless something miraculous happens - like someone presenting me with a voucher for a free vacation in the UK, or a Lotto win or something like that - I won't be there. But have fun everyone, and tell the rest of us all about it after. Like Debs said, I'm not jealous. Really!

I thought we'd all agreed to meet at Liane's in Trinidad.
Oh, wait, that was for 2009. Never mind.

I'll be on your side of the Atlantic in 2010, but nowhere near your latitude, I'm afraid. Valerie and I are going to cruise the Med for our 30th. (Assuming the USD has recovered by then.) Maybe 2012? Who's in charge of Novel Racer social planning for that year?

In the meantime, y'all are invited to drop by North Carolina anytime. With the kids in college we've got spare room. Just call ahead so we'll have time to clean up before you get here.
