I finished my first draft on Wednesday night, but only posted about it on BloggersWithBookDeals, so onoy BWBD members will be able to confirm, and the wordcounter on my blog ain't no use cos I left it as "unfinished". I was thinking I'd do one quick line edit before declaring it as finished and announcing it here.

I'm planning a bit of spit and polish of mine over next week or two, so not sure when I'll declare 1st draft officially done. Had a bit of a read-through of first chap yesterday though, and was pleasantly surprised. Am pleased with it. Yay!
Ah no Flowerpot, don't worry, my book needs a LOT of work before it'll be fit for the eyes of agents, publishers, etc. It'll probably go through at least another three drafts. No, I just want to clean up typos and non-sequiturs before laying it aside, so that when I pick it up again to read through with a fresh eye, I won't be needlessly distracted by surface errors.
