Hello, I'm Karen ...

... and I feel honoured to be here. I've been reading and occasionally commenting on the blog for a while now, and have been inspired in many ways.

Some of you will have read my witterings at Get On With It, and for that I thank you kindly, and that's exactly what joining you will motivate me to do - I hope!

I'm halfway through one novel, and recently started another that was too exciting to ignore, and so far it's going well - but I have a tendency to get stuck around Chapter Ten! I'm also writing, and sometimes selling, short stories but they don't distract me from the novel, although I do need a kick up the bum sometimes. I hope you're wearing stout boots.

Thanks again for having me - I'm looking forward to my Novel Racing journey.

Hi Karen,

Welcome! Hope you enjoy life on here...

I get stuck around chapter 10, too. And chapter 20. OH, and the other chapters too, if I'm honest.

I'm always wearing stout boots, but I mainly use 'em to kick myself.

Welcome indeed!

Welcome aboard. Glad you're here. Captain Black will explain the fees and payment schedules, if he hasn't already. You'll be happy to hear the blood sacrifices are no longer required (but they are encouraged). Did Liz give you the list of approved tattoo artists for getting your NR tat? No rush on that, but before April 1 there's a discount. Pay little attention to the hack from North Carolina and you should do well.
Of course, the key thing to remember at all times is:
Welcome. We're glad you're one of us.

Yay! So lovely to have you here. Hopefully we'll finally get to meet at one of the meet-ups.

And folks, she's being far too modest about her short stories sales - Karen is THE most prolific member of the group A Story A Fortnight and has been selling stories to Take a Break and other women's magazines by the bucket load (can you have a bucket of stories?).

Anyway, welcome Karen :o)
