Moving On

I've decided that my writing career has come to an end. I've explained the reasons on my blog. In the interests of fairness to the racers on the waiting list, I suggest that you make me an alumni member, in order to free up a place.

I've had a fantastic time meeting and chatting with you all, and I hope to stay in touch. Thank you for all your help and discussions over the years. I'll still drop by occasionally to steal your bread and coffee.

Whatever you do next, I know you'll throw your heart and soul into it.

Stay in touch with us all won't you.

I've just read your blog. As much as I understand why you are doing this, I can't help but think you are wrong. You should keep at it.

But that's enough of my two pennies worth.

Good luck with everything and please keep in touch. I love your little wacky comments on my statuses(?) on Facebook!

I'll miss your common sense and your humour, Captain. Not to mention the helpful tech advice. Hope to see you around now and then.

Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.

Just read your blog and left a comment there. The NR will REALLY miss you :(

Aw, man. No. I bet you a jar of marmite you'll be writing again within a year, even if it's the world's first technical manual that mere mortals can understand. Don't stray too far.

Like Graeme, I'll bet you Marmite and Lime Pickle.

Good luck Cap'n and don't go far.

I think you've made a brave decision if you do decide to stop. I stopped and started for years at the beginning but more recently I've enjoyed it all again. If you can get back to that stage, you'll get through this stage. However, I really admire you if you go ahead and quit. It's just that I'm not sure writers can...Good luck goes without saying x

Oh Kevin, such a hard decision to make. We will miss you and really hope to see you around regularly.

I hope you stick around Kev. And I hope the others are right and that you are back soon.

What would an NR meet be without you???

Good luck with your future endeavours. And don't delete anything! :)

LDUK: Me too. It was good to meet you and the other racers.

Liz: Thanks.

ChrisH: I hope I'm not too much of a computer Ninja. That would mean I sneak up on them and murder them.

Fia: Not too much heart and soul left these days, but we'll see.

KeVin: Thanks and will do.

Cathy: That goes for you too.

Paige: Believe me, I tried to find a way to continue but I couldn't do it justice. Rest assured I'll carry on with the wacky fb comments.

Liane: Common sense? Hmm. Thanks for the good wishes.

Calistro: Likewise.

Graeme: No bet {laughs}.

Lane: Hmm, almost worth winning that bet. Almost.

L-Plate: Thank you. I can't predict the future but I know what's not working now and want to turn my attention elsewhere.

JJ: It was a hard decision but it was proving even harder to continue.

B: You can still invite me to the meetings you know ;o)

Rowan: I dare say I might make a few more comments yet.

Everyone: Thank you, you're all very kind and wonderful people. I'm going to miss you all. Or maybe not! I'm giving up a hobby but I'll still be around from time to time. Many thanks for all your help over the years. I should also let you know that I'm on a mission to read your books!

A very difficult decision!

You'll be hugely missed, your contributions here - and for me, on my blog - have always been interesting, helpful and very welcome.

I agree you will be missed. Good luck with it all Cap'n.

Beleaguered Squirrel: Well, I might still stick my oar/nose in from time to time.

Annie: Thanks. I'm sure these good people will look after you.

Helen: Thank you and good luck with your new little project.
