Okay...

I'm finding it completely impossible to get writing... to stop playing Bejewelled, to stop checking out Facebook, to stop... even doing admin seems attractive today.

So I'm telling you, here and now, that I will update 100 words a day before my day is out... to let you (and me, apparently, because I don't appear to care) how many or how few words I've written today.

Public embarrassment: that's the way to go, surely?

Good luck JJ. I'm having a lethargic period too.

We all get days like that JJ - but keep going - you can do it!

It's probably because you've been away and need to settle back down again, or something.

You'll get going again, and starting with your 100 words is the perfect way to do it. I would also be adding my 100 words, if I had them, but I'm editing and losing them at the moment.

Have you another project you can potter with, making notes, so that the one you really want to be getting on with gets jealous and starts butting in?

In any case, good luck. Being stuck is horrible.

Oh dear. Thank you all. Been away, been ill, had family here... it's all got in the way of a good habit I'd got going. I just need to form the habit AGAIN.

Have you done them yet?

Hi again. Thanks for the support. It's been tough but I did 515 words which isn't bad until I tell you it took me about five hours!

You can't say I'm not determined.

Well done on those words JJ. I'm on an enforced break from my novel and can't wait to get going again. Nothing like knowing you can't write for making you want to!

I fully support you JJ. You can do it.

Off to investigate Bejewelled...

It can't be the summer we're not having! Well, in Northumberland anyway! But I'm actually looking forward to writing again, I've got ideas swimming round.

Good luck, JJ.
