Book three - first draft - in the bag

Well, I finished it.

It was supposed to have been around 100k but it kept on growing.

Finally I stopped at 112,192 words.

Now to live my life again...

OMG. Fantastic news - well done lovely.

How long will you leave it before the first edit?

I'm going to leave it for a month as I have a week off at the end of March, JJ. I really enjoy the second draft, and I need to do some research around murder, and bodies being left in situ after murder and can a family member be let out of prision to attend a funeral and if so what is the precedure and what is it like to have your stomach pumped...all good stuff.

Sometimes I wish I'd have stuck to women's fiction, much nice research!

You have to leave the draft as long as is necessary for you. I presume you're referring to when to get started? It's your book, hun. It'll feel right when it feels right. x
