Why do I feel teary because I've just written 'The End' on novel six (novel 4 in the Harold and Jasfoup series)?
How odd. Fortunately I have a week off in Devon next week. I shall be plotting the next two novels during that, and writing the current WIP, Jasfoup's Diary. Next month I'll be editing novel 2, November is Nano.

I think we all make such an emotional investment in our work, especially if it is something that develops over a series, that a release of some kind is inevitable. Congratulations on finishing, and great that you are moving straight on to the next ones. It is so easy, when finishing something, to drift.
Well done on finishing...have a good week off.
I can completely understand why you feel weepy. It sounds silly to anyone who isn't a writer but we almost become friends with our characters, even the villains. So go ahead and weep, drown yourself in red wine and wallow in the grief. We won't laugh at you. Congratulations on finishing. Well done!
I completely understand why you'd feel weepy but many, many congrats on finishing another novel.SIX NOVELS written now? Wow. I'm so impressed! Well done you :o)
Perfectly natural to feel weepy at the end. It's a lot of work and you are attached to your characters and the story. Well done and wow for being ready to roll forward to the next.
Have a great week in Devon :-)
I am thoroughly impressed...six novels! Congratulations and enjoy Devon:))
I cry and feel bereft when I finish a novel I'm reading - no wonder you feel tearful at the end of one you've written!
Enjoy Devon - you deserve it :0)

Congratulations honey x
Well done. Have a tissue. Now give yourself a pat on the back and head off for a spot of recuperation.
Congratulations on finishing! Yay! I love typing The End, but I can understand the weepy-ness. It's like separation anxiety. Enjoy your break. I can't even imagine Devon, but just thinking about any vacation spot in England (or should I say Great Britain??) sounds relaxing to me.
Rachel is that one of your paintings? Love it - very evocative......
Congrats on finishing Rachel! I went to your blog and read some of Jasfoup's diaries the other day. Oh my lord they are fab. He is such an engaging character and his voice is so witty.
I had a demon project once upon a time which sadly got stuck in a drawer to be resurrected 'at some point' but Jasfoup puts my stuff to shame :D
Loving your work!
