Hello all,

It was lovely to meet the other 13 of us who were there in Manchester on Saturday. We all came away feeling inspired, so definitely something worth repeating in future. A really nice bunch of people - friendly, supportive, great conversation.

My first draft's going pretty well, I'm more or less keeping to my weekly target of 8,000 words, which means I'm now about a third of the way through. I'm goign to take some time out this week to work on the plot for the next two thirds, but I am absolutely banned from editing or rewriting until it's finished, so I should get moving again quickly after that. I've had loads of ideas, which is great. I dropped the first idea for a book after a week, and am now working on a new idea which works much better.

I've just discovered that something is wrong with Blogger, and they won't let me list my proper url in my Blogger profile. Instead they insist on using boobpencil.blogspot.com, which ought to redirect but seems to be broken. Sadly I don't have time to spend hours searching Blogger support forums for a solution just at the moment (look how disciplined I'm being, I have a novel to write! I could so easily have spent the afternoon faffing about trying to solve this instead...).
