Thanks, guys

Just a quick note to say that asking for help from my fellow Novel Racers turned out very well indeed. Quite a resource we have here. Many thanks to those who responded.

Kevin,

I appreciate your disappointment, but you said 'If you have experience resolving problems of this sort and would like to see a summary of the project and offer advice' and personally with no experience or expectation of being able to help, I didn't leave a comment. Perhaps out of courtesy I should've done, and wished you well with it, but ... well I didn't. Sorry.

Unfortunately those less experienced in this game may benefit more than those of you with more history of writing.

Sorry.

Ditto what JJ said Kevin. Sorry I couldn't help.

Liz, JJ, you misunderstood. I really was expressing thanks. The post also asked folks to e-mail me, and they did. Got a couple of great insights into how to move forward with the project.

So pleased we were wrong Kevin :-)

Phew, was so pleased. I thought at first that you didn't get any replies, then read your post again and realised you'd asked people to mail you. Glad it worked for you Kevin. x

Oh phew. I felt terrible about my lack of manners and lack of ability to help. I am so GLAD (and possibly a bit paranoid - tee hee).

I anticipate having similar issues with one of my projects (suspense/romance/semi-historical). Would it be possible to post the advice you got? Unless the info is specific to your novel, of course.

Think I'll need all the help I can get...
